Background

Under the Agricultural Productivity Promotion Programme (APPP), which was undertaken by the Government of Ghana, selected feeder roads were improved, rehabilitated or maintained to provide all year access. The objective of these interventions was to enhance marketing of agricultural produce and delivery of farm produce. This was to provide the MoA/USAID with a scientific basis of assessing the performance of critical aspects of the APPP and provided the DFR with improved mechanism for pre-selection of feeder roads for improvement or  rehabilitation.
